When you take responsibility for your life, you’re no longer allowing your ego and mind to keep you in a perpetual victim loop. Liberation begins the day you realize you are not your thoughts.

“As long as you think that the cause of your problem is “out there”– as long as you think that anyone or anything is responsible for your suffering–the situation is hopeless. It means that you are forever in the role of the victim, that you are suffering in paradise.” – Byron Katie, Loving What Is: Four Questions That Can Change Your Life

Once we realize that we are not our mind and begin to become aware of our thoughts and emotions the game changes. We finally see the truth: that the one that gets upset, angry, hurt, anxious, disappointed or worried is not YOU, the real you; the one getting upset is your mind. You believe your mind is who YOU are, so, as a result, you believe YOU are your thoughts.

In my opinion, most of us are not living…we are simply suffering.

Yes, I realize this is deep. We are no longer wading in the shallow waters, my friend.

Free your mind (and the rest will follow)

Since we’re here, let me ask you a fundamental question: do you want to be free? Free from the thoughts that have been stealing your joy, causing anxiety, making you stressed and discontented? How much energy do you unwittingly expend believing that you have no power?

You have a choice. This choice requires daily practices of the “real you:” embodying your true awareness and aligning with Source (some people call this the Universe, Infinite Intelligence, or God). The biggest, most universal lie is that we are separate from that Source, and, because we believe our thoughts, we remain disempowered and victimized.

How to start taking responsibility for your life

Your journey towards this new reality will leave your questioning your programmed beliefs. Our programming has complete control over our lives. Are you curious enough to begin the journey? We have been programmed to be enslaved by our thoughts and a sense of separation from everything around us. The only way to truly become free is to align to God, not religion or even “spirituality,” but to an infinite intelligence.

Are you ready to stop suffering your way through life and train yourself to align to the Infinite daily, moment by moment?

If you are, I’m here for it (and you!) Working with an executive coach gives you a sometimes much-needed accountability partner, someone who can support you, give you tips, skills and perspective and tell it like it is when you need it most.
