1. Computer — A laptop is ideal for your home office.
2. Desk — Invest in a clean and elegant desk to work from home. Amazon, Target and Ikea all have great options to choose from.
3. Filing system — Place things in their designated spaces after each use or at the end of the workday. Eliminate paper as much as possible.
4. Keyboard for faster typing — This also allows you to create a more ergonomic desk set up.
5. Noise cancelling earphones for video calls — Outside noise can cause clutter during calls.
6. Scented candle(s) — Set the mood for mindful work. If you don’t love the smoke, diffusers are lovely as well. My favorite scents for my workday are bergamot, orange blossom, lemon, eucalyptus and peppermint.
7. Greenery — it’s nice to have either a plant or fresh cut flowers to add life to your desk.
8. Crystals to ground your space — My recommendations are listed below:
- Clear Quartz, known as the “mother of all crystals.” It is great for concentrating energy.
- Tigers Eye is good for its ability to ground a busy mind.
- Citrine enhances concentration and focuses on the bearer’s self-confidence
- Green Aventurine relieves workplace stress.
- Fluorite is great for anxiety and can relieve frenetic energy.
9. Meditations — When you are feeling mentally foggy, meditate. Try this Root Chakra Balancing Guided Meditation for grounding in your day.
10. Food and drinks — Always have a fresh glass of room temperature water with lemon for hydration along with a healthy snack. I love walnuts and blackberries.
