The law of attraction states that you attract whatever you give your energy, focus and attention to, good or bad. And as much as you may want it to be a magic process, it isn’t a quick fix. You can’t just think, “I want a more fulfilling career.” and BOOM, there it is. Think of it more like gravity.
You can’t always see the law of attraction in action and you aren’t usually consciously aware of it. If you know what to look for, however, its strength becomes apparent. Using the law of attraction takes time and discipline. To begin, you must first understand the law of vibration.
The law of vibration is the key to unlocking the law of attraction
The law of attraction states that everything that exists in the world, visible or invisible, has energy that can be measured as a frequency or pattern. On a macro to a micro level, from the stars in the sky to a grain of sand, everything (including our very own thoughts!) has a vibration.
How do you raise your vibration?
Your new goal is to raise your vibration into a well-tuned manifestation machine.
- Be Conscious of your thoughts. Consciously choose happy thoughts and feelings to draw in more of the same. Everything you think, say or feel becomes your reality. Do you often catch yourself complaining, lamenting your lack of one thing or another, or getting down on yourself? Or are you excited for the future while being kind to yourself and others? It can be easy to fall into negative thought patterns, but it is possible to break that cycle. Through mindfulness practice you can begin to build these muscles.
- Be grateful. Intentionally focus your energy on the positive to cultivate a kind, upbeat vibration. When you feel yourself trending towards negativity, make a quick list of the blessings in your life. If you open yourself up to feelings of gratitude you can’t help but feel the universe’s love.
- Get your blood pumping. Seek out ways to optimize your energy and clear the way for the law of attraction to work its magic. Our energy becomes stagnant and our minds tend to wander when we’re sedentary. When we get back into our bodies, and even out into the world, we get much-needed endorphins and a perspective shift. This is a great, easy way to shake the dust off, pull ourselves out of a funk and get back to ourselves.
Your vibrational set point is either low or high, buzzing out a frequency that draws people, things and experiences the same dominant energetic patterns back to you.
Trust the process
There is an element of trust in this process that can’t be overstated. When you truly focus on yourself instead of getting caught up in the end result, you are energetically saying, “it is already so.” You release your resistance to the obstacles you see between you and your desired outcome. Instead of existing in a place of deficit “I want a more fulfilling job” you are allowing the Universe to deliver the goods “I am aligned with the fulfilling job that is in my future.”
